London offers a broad array of private and public child care options to parents of young children. Conveniently located throughout the city, many of the programs operate year-round and are located in schools, workplaces, churches or free standing buildings. There are child care options that fit a wide variety of development interests and special needs.

There is also a wide selection of preschools and nursery schools that provide education-based programs designed to prepare children for kindergarten. Many of these programs operate only for half-days during the school year.
